Overview:Purpose and Performance Goals: The purpose of this job is to perform the duties of
Bartender in accordance with Hilton’s standards for safe and satisfactory performance.
Job Description: To provide the most professional bar service available to the guest through good, prompt and courteous service. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
1. Greet guests at bar within 30 seconds with a warm and welcome manner introducing yourself and offering a beverage.
2. Have a strong knowledge of bar drinks, liquors carried in house, wine list and beers carried in house.
3. Deliver drinks to the guest and inform the guests of the daily specials and soup of the day along with any other pertinent information the guests need to know e.g. any items that are currently out of stock.
4. Offer suggestions, from the drink menu or an appetizer to start with. Up sell!
5. Enter and review order at POS system.
6. Deliver orders accurately and in a timely manner.
7. Present guest checks and collect payments accurately and in a timely manner following at all times Hilton’s policies and procedures.
8. Maintain proper cash handling procedures.
9. Maintain a cheerful, positive attitude and appropriate conduct with both guests and teammates at all times.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or GED. One year of bartending experience in a similar concept is required.
Language Skills: Must be able to communicate clearly with guests, customers, supervisor and fellow employees
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: TIPS certification preferred.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Candidate must be able to lift 50 lbs., be able to work long hours/split shifts and be able to handle stressful conditions.

Hours: Due to the seasonal nature of the hospitality industry, and the fact that the hotel provides guest services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, any employee may be required to work rotating shifts, night shifts, and/or overtime. Also, depending on the season, hours may be reduced at any time.
