VENTEON Finance is hiring a PART TIME BOOKKEEPER to provide support in Southfield, MI. You will assist a corporation in Accounting, Finance, and month end close.JOB TYPE: Part time. Long term contract. In office. PAY: $25.00 - $31.25 per hour based on education/skills.
Requirements of the Bookkeeper:
- A Bachelor s degree in accounting or finance is desired. Will also consider solid work history in bookkeeping.
- Excellent Accounting and Financial Analysis skills, Knowledge of GAAP.
- Transactional accounting experience with A/P, A/R, Reconciling accounts, and bank accounts. Experience supporting month end close activities.
- Technical skills: Extensive work experience using QuickBooks required. Strong MS Excel skills including macros and pivot tables.
- Prior experience working in the financial services industry or corporate work environment.
Duties of the Bookkeeper:
- Assist in managing accounts payable/receivable, cash, and general ledger.
- Bank reconciliations.
- Full cycle accounting from GL entry to month end close preferably in the financial services industry.
- Accounts Payable- accurate, timely payment to vendors.
- Create and send invoices to customers, follow up for payments, apply /forecast cash.
- Provide support for month end close activities.
- Maintain journal entries and account reconciliations Manage Intercompany transactions.
- Supporting the payroll and tax processes as needed.
- Generate management/Regulatory reporting.
- Provide financial information to meet gov t regulations.
- Provide support for internal/audits.
- Use advanced skills in MS Excel to pull data and produce reports to support the decision-making process.
- Make recommendations based on findings.
