Description
We’re currently looking for a Part Time Care Companion in Menifee.
A lovely woman in Menifee is looking for a Part Time Care Companion to spend time with her 2 days each week, Tuesday & Thursday from 2-5pm each day for a total of 6 hours per week.. She is in early stages of dementia and English is her second language (native Farsi speaker), so her ideal Care Companion will be understanding, patient, and compassionate.
This retired hairstylist is looking for someone who will enjoy spending time with her engaging in conversation, playing games, doing puzzles, painting her nails, doing her hair and makeup, and taking her to walk around the local HomeGoods store (family will reimburse for mileage).
- Schedule: Tuesday and Thursday from 2pm - 5pm (6 hours per week)
- Start date: Immediately
- Long term
- Rate: $25/hr
Responsibilities
- Companion care for one client
- Engaging with client via conversation, puzzles, games, activities (she likes to paint and enjoys caring for her plants)
- Outings to walk around local stores (family will reimburse for mileage)
- Encouragement working on physical therapy exercises and promoting general health and wellbeing
Requirements
- 2+ years experience with in-home adult care
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must be able to provide at least two professional care references
- CPR certified or willing to become certified
- Has valid driver’s license, own reliable transportation, and clean driving record
- Must be able to successfully clear a background and social media check
Compensation + Benefits
Position pays $25 per hour and the client is looking for 6 hours of care per week long term.
