Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Part-Time Cleaner to join our team. This position involves mopping floors, cleaning restrooms, taking out trash/recycling, cleaning windows and more.
Responsibilities:Key Responsibilities
- Perform weekly cleaning tasks for three separate buildings. These tasks include sweeping and mopping floors (or use floor scrubber), cleaning restrooms, emptying trash and recycling, wiping surfaces and counters, cleaning windows and other glass, stocking supplies, and vacuuming.
- Damp dust all ceiling and air condition diffusers, partition grilles, register and other ventilating louvers.
- Vacuum mats and carpeted areas in workplace, lobbies, and corridors.
- Hand dust and clean all office furnishings, files, fixtures, paneling, windowsills and all other flat surfaces.
- Wipe clean and buff all metal hardware fixtures and added bright work.
- Appropriately clean and polish tile floor services as required.
- Damp wipe and buff all glass furnishings.
- Clean entry door glass indoors and outer surface.
- Remove all stains from vertical surfaces such as doors, door frames, and around light switches, private entry glass and dividers.
- Make sure the kitchen and storage areas are kept clean at all times.
- Ensure daily walk throughs of the entire shelter and address any areas of concern.
- Perform deep cleanings and other cleaning projects as needed.
- Assist with laundry as needed.
- Maintain and organize cleaning supplies with the assistance of the office manager.
- Follow established cleaning protocols and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for both humans and pets.
- Serve as a key driver in the overall cleanliness of the shelter.
- Seek out areas requiring cleaning; takes initiative to complete the task.
- Complete all tasks assigned by Manager.
- Notify management of any needs for repairs, safety or security issues.
- Other duties as assigned.

Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 2+ years of custodial/janitorial services experience preferred but not required.
- Knowledge and work-related experience with animals preferred.

Additional Requirements
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
Work Conditions
- Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings and afternoons.
- Hours may vary based on need; evenings and weekends may be required on occasion.
- Operational flexibility is required to meet sudden and unpredictable needs.
- Must be comfortable working with dogs and cats of all ages and temperaments.
