Description:

Entech Staffing is seeking an Early Childhood Classroom Aide for an Educational Institution in Flint, MI. This is a part-time contract position in the Early Childhood Learning Center. Pay: $16/hr

Purpose of Role:

The Aide provides a supporting role in the classroom and is responsible for the implementation of the program for the children in attendance. Primary responsibilities will include assisting the Lead in planning and implementing programs for children in accordance with the policies and philosophy of the Early Childhood Learning Center.

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining the learning environment, setting up interest centers, and preparing needed materials and supplies.

• Supervising the classroom when the Lead is out of the room.

• Treats children and others with dignity and respect.

• Maintains an equal share of the joint housekeeping responsibilities.

• Assists in the development of a monthly newsletter.

• Designs and implements display boards in classrooms.

• Maintains order in the classroom based on the individual needs of children.

• Attends staff meetings and teaching team meetings.

• Participates in recommended training programs, conferences, and other aspects of professional growth.

• Attends all public-relation events sponsored by the Child Development Center.

• Participates in related duties and activities that may be assigned from time to time in accordance with center policies.

• Other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements:

• Twelve college credits in Child development and/or Early Childhood Education.

• Meets Department of Social Services Center Licensing Standards requirements for health and staffing.

• Able to read, write, and speak English.

• Must pass a drug test and criminal background check prior to starting.

• One year of experience working with children in a licensed childcare facility is preferred.

• Child Development Associate credential preferred.
