What are we looking for?

The Environmental Wastewater Technician willsupport the environmental business by monitoring and maintaining a small wastewater treatment system in the Baton Rouge, LA area. This position is a part-time, casual role with less than 24 hours per week.

Shift/Schedule: Part-time, Casual
What you'll do:

• Operate wastewater treatment equipment: Blowers, and pumps
• Test and add treatment chemicals: Add chlorine to disinfect water as needed
• Inspect treatment equipment: inspect equipment on established intervals to document it's working properly
• Monitor conditions: Monitor operating conditions as required
• Collect samples: Collect and test water and sewage samples
• Record data: Record operational data

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• 3+ years of experience working with/in a wastewater facility or applicable experience
• Must have Louisiana State Level 1 and 2 Wastewater (WW) Treatment Licensing
• Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record
