Position Description
Flagstaff Academy seeks a part-time facilities technician. The hours are flexible (approximately 10-15 hours per week), which may be ideal for a student or someone looking for a flexible schedule. The position would be responsible for assisting our Facilities Manager with general maintenance and operations of our school building. This is a great opportunity to learn from a top facilities manager, who will be the direct supervisor for this role. We are looking for someone that is a team player, has a positive attitude, and a constant willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
- Maintenance: Perform routine and preventative maintenance, including general upkeep and minor repairs under the supervision of the Facilities Manager. This could include changing/installing lights and/or fixtures, general repair and painting, plumbing, electrical, or carpentry work, and other specific projects for the school.
- Event Management: Oversee and perform the duties associated with events, including executing the set-up plan and break-downs.
- Safety: Assist the Safety Supervisor and Facilities Manager with any safety and security needs around the grounds of the facility.
- Grounds work: Flagstaff partners with an outside contractor for the majority of its landscaping work. However, there may be some responsibility to help shovel snow and remove ice on sidewalks during inclement weather.

Located in Longmont, Flagstaff Academy is a tuition-free public charter school serving grades kindergarten through eighth. Our school also offers a tuition-based full- and part-time preschool program for three and four year olds.
Since its founding in 2005, Flagstaff Academy has grown into Longmont’s premier science and technology school. Our mission is to develop students who are equipped to be well-rounded, ethical leaders in the world community with a foundation based on science and technology.
As a public charter school, Flagstaff Academy is operated by a board of directors made up of parents and community members. Our school serves approximately 800 students and is part of the St. Vrain Valley School District. The Flagstaff Academy guiding principles are:

PAY RANGE
The pay range for this position is $16.00-$18.00 per hour. Part-time employees are eligible for our Telehealth program and participate in PERA retirement.
