Part Time Front Desk Representative:
Our client, a highly acclaimed university in the Cambridge, MA area, is looking to bring on an Part Time Front Desk Representative to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in working in a student, faculty and staff front facing position within higher education.
This position isa 3-month temp only position with a possibility of an extension.
The right candidate for this opening must have a positive attitude, ability to learn quickly and work within critical time demand. Must be friendly, warm, outgoing, and presentable for the front desk. This is a front facing role, so this person can’t be shy or timid. Not for someone who is more introverted and wants to be a behind the scenes person. Must be tech savvy- basic skills in Word, Excel, and being able to use Slack (internal team communication software). Must be able to show up on time and be committed. Pluses: Someone who has worked with students before or a fort facing receptionist position. Someone who comes from higher education or hospitality are encouraged.

- Pay: $22-23/hr. (temporary)
- Days/Hours:Monday- Thursday, 10:30am-4:00pm- w/30-minutes unpaid lunch- 20/hrs./wk.
- This position will require this person to work on-site 4-days per week
- No covid vaccination require, but highly recommended.
Job Details:
- Keep front desk tidy and presentable with all necessary material (pens, forms, paper etc.)
Greet and welcome guests
Answer questions and address complaints
Answer all incoming calls and redirect them or keep messages
Receive letters, packages etc. and distribute them
Prepare outgoing mail by drafting correspondence, securing parcels etc.
Monitor office supplies and place orders when necessary
Keep updated records and files
