Intertek is searching for a Part-Time Jewelry Inspector to join our Consumer Goods Inspections team who is based in or near Los Angeles, CA. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career in Consumer Goods Inspections.
The Part-Time Jewelry Inspector is responsible for inspecting jewelry and issuing inspection report.
What you'll do:
• Coordinate with Intertek office regarding assignment.
• Prepare for job by reviewing SOP, determine sample size, and drafting report.
• Communicate with the facility about the inspection and confirm arrival date and time.
• Perform the inspections based on clients' and Intertek's protocols.
• Issue inspection report and deliver completed report with photos to Intertek office.
• Understand and follow Intertek's Anti-Bribery and Integrity procedure.
What it takes to be successful in this role:
• High School Diploma or 5+ years of experience.
• Graduate from the Gemological Institute of America.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to communicate and interact effectively in verbal, written and presentation skills.
• Must be detailed oriented and able to effectively prioritize and organize workload with efficient time management.
• Ability to travel as business needs dictate.
• Physical requirements to include: Lifting, walking, standing, bending, and driving.

The base wage or salary range for this position is $ 28.00 to $ 30.00 per hour. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
