Part-Time Junior Accountant - Local Non-Profit Organization

Position Overview

The Junior Accountant will be responsible for recording revenue transactions, reconciling accounts, and assisting with various accounting functions. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.

Key Responsibilities

• Record revenue transactions into the accounting software
• Perform monthly reconciliations of deposits, credit card, and checking accounts
• Import journal entries from Ticketing and Retail Sales Systems on a monthly basis
• Export Payment Gateway and Settlement reports weekly
• Create journal entries for miscellaneous transactions, deposits, and wire transfers as needed
• Assist with monthly general ledger account reconciliations
• Support Monthly and Quarterly Sales Tax Filing processes
• Respond to customer inquiries received by the Ticketing Department
• Track chargebacks and submit responses
• Investigate and address discrepancies in the accounting books
• Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite
• Solid organizational and time management abilities
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Background in accounting or bookkeeping (experience preferred but not required)
