Part-Time Lumber Yard Customer Service Associate - The MH Group

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Customer Service Associate to join our client's team! This is a part-time position with approximately 30 hours per week, including Saturday mornings. As a Customer Service Associate, you will play a pivotal position in assisting customers find the right products. Background experience in lumber, building materials, or construction industry experience is a plus.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and assist them in locating products based on their needs and specifications.
• Provide knowledgeable advice on product features, usage, and benefits to help customers make informed decisions.
• Process customers’ orders accurately and efficiently using our POS system.
• Handle customer inquiries, issues, and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Maintaining a clean and organized environment ensures products are adequately stocked and neatly displayed.
• Assist in inventory management tasks such as receiving shipments, checking for damaged goods, and restocking shelves. Collaborate with other team members to achieve sales goals and provide excellent service as a cohesive unit.
• Performs all other duties as instructed by the supervisor.

Required Experience:

• Previous customer service experience preferred. Knowledge of lumber, building materials, or construction industry experience is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle situations positively and calmly.

• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work select weekdays and Saturday mornings.

Compensation: $20-$25 per hour.

Hours: 30 hours per week, flexible schedule requiring a few days per week (Monday - Friday) between 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, and Saturday mornings.
