About the Job
Summary:
Responsible for ensuring the inserting process for our publications is completed on a daily basis. Most positions are entry level; some require additional skills.
This is an evening shift, 4pm-11pm, Wednesday-Saturday and will be 24-32 hours per week.
What you will do:
Hand inserting fee standing inserts into the inserting machine
Use of the shrink wrap machine to wrap pallets
Use of pallet jacks or forklifts to move materials between the mailroom and the warehouse
Use of a “jogging” table aligning al inserts perfectly prior to loading an inserting pocket
Work on the binder machine to load signatures
Loading mail pieces into the mail machine and gathering address pieces off the conveyor
Responsible for the daily clean up of the mailroom
Some positions responsible for shipping/receiving materials
Some positions use computer software to manage shipping materials
What you will bring:
Must be a team player, with ability to follow supervisor directions
Good communication skills
Positive, energetic personality
High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous warehouse, material handling, forklift and/or computer program use preferred, but not necessary
The hourly wage is $16.00. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, time in role, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, MediaNews Group offers a comprehensive benefits package, and 401K plan (all benefits are based on eligibility).
