Per diem employees may work 0-16 hours per week.
Temporary employees may be assigned to work up to 40 hours per week.

Position Description
Evaluates and treats patients referred for physical therapy. Directs and assists patients in a program of strength and flexibility exercises, muscle re-education, transfers, balance training, gait training, pain relief and orthotic/prosthetic use. Performs physical therapy treatments using such physical modalities as heat, cold, water, massage, manual techniques, joint mobilization, electrical stimulation, and other modalities as per training.
Education and/or Experience
Required
- Current Physical Therapist, Washington state license in good standing
- CPR/BLS certification
- Graduate of an approved PT program with a BS PT, MPT, MS PT or DPT may be
- Valid Washington state driver's license and proof of auto insurance
Preferred
- Leadership skills
- Two years' experience preferred in outpatient setting, one year inpatient or SNF
Major Responsibilities
- Conducts initial Physical Therapy evaluation
- Able to evaluate and make clinical decision independently
- Develops appropriate plan of treatment, including frequency & intensity
- Sets appropriate short and long term goals
- Incorporates appropriate procedures to meet stated objectives. Includes patient, family where applicable, and staff into plan
- Uses techniques, materials and modalities appropriate to patient
- Follows treatment plan and modifies plan when appropriate
- Makes recommendations to patient, patient's family, physician or other interested caregiver or healthcare provider regarding appropriate assistive devices, mobility aids and/or level of assist when indicated
- Completes daily SOAP notes, monthly progress notes, billing slips and other paperwork per department policy
- Completes appropriate paperwork for obtaining Durable Medical Equipment as needed
- Charts communication with other health care professionals, patient and/or patient's family as indicated
- Discharges patients according to policy
- Understands different insurance requirements and obtains necessary authorization or observes visit limits as indicated
