Job Title: Part-Time Project Planner - Subsea Energy Systems
Location: Houston, TX (with initial rotation in Morgan City, LA). We will also consider local Morgan City, LA candidates, however training will need to be completed in Houston, TX office.
Contract Type: Part-Time (3 days a week, typically Tuesday through Thursday, 24 hours per week) – Min 3 Months+, with the possibility of conversion to FT/Direct
Eligibility: Green Card or US Citizenship required
Overview: We are seeking a motivated Project Planner to join our Project Management Department. This role will focus on project planning for large-scale manufacturing initiatives, ensuring alignment with contractual milestones and internal procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tender Process:
- Provide schedule input for allocated tenders, addressing risks, pricing, and cash flow.
- Review tender specifications for planning and control.
- Project Execution:
- Develop and maintain the Execution/Baseline Schedule in line with contract obligations and client expectations.
- Conduct regular status updates, gathering information from project teams, manufacturing plants, and procurement.
- Ensure clear communication and information flow among project members.
- Perform analysis of schedule variations, critical path, and resource needs, suggesting improvements and corrective actions.
- Prepare and update monthly reports and resource forecasts.
- Advisory and Support:
- Conduct analyses and simulations as needed.
- Contribute to competency development within the planning discipline.
- Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, project teams, and manufacturing plants.
- Deliver reliable tender and project schedules.
- Ensure timely reporting that meets internal and external requirements.
- Actively contribute to project success and client satisfaction.
- University degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong background in project planning within a manufacturing context.
- Proficiency in project management software, particularly MS Project or Primavera.
- Solid understanding of project management principles and economic considerations.
- Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Norwegian is a plus.
