Sonoran Roots is looking for highly motivated and reliable individuals to join our team as Part-Time Receptionist/Budtender, working alongside our Ponderosa Chandler team.

ABOUT THE POSITION:
We are seeking a qualified Part-Time Receptionist/Budtender with experience in the cannabis industry. Receptionists/Budtenders are the first impression of Ponderosa and must be an ambassador for Ponderosa customer service standards and our company culture. Maintaining a clean and professional environment that aligns with our first-class standards is also crucial to this role.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - PT RECEPTIONIST/BUDTENDER:
- Staff members must understand, abide by, and enforce AZ Department of Health Services ("AZDHS") rules, regulations, and compliance standards.
- Direct / Check-In customers in accordance with AZDHS compliance and Ponderosa procedures. Check the customer's state product allowance with the Arizona Department of Health Services Verification System (as applicable).
- Answer or direct inquiries through proper channels when needed.
- Monitor Lobby / Patient Waiting Room ensuring a safe, clean and professional working environment.
- Establish, develop, and maintain relationships with current and prospective customers to generate business for the dispensary.
- Maintain a current inventory of office supplies.
- Collect all incoming mail and disperse to the proper location.
- Maintain an organized work environment and be attentive to details.
- Update and maintain current product menus and product listings.
- Maintain compliance regarding the management of patient records and all materials containing patient personally identifiable information.
- Complete daily checklists of tasks with efficiency and precision.
- Assist in maintaining a safe, clean and professional working environment.
- Safely and compliantly move cannabis products throughout the facility.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision and attention to detail.
- Greet visitors and customers warmly, both in-person and over the phone, fostering positive relationships.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers to enhance business growth.
- Manage customer records and materials containing customer information responsibly.
- Provide excellent customer experiences.
- Work in a high-volume sales environment, standing for extended periods.
- Attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and reliability.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Pay Rate: From $15.00 per hour
Minimum Qualifications (Required):
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds as needed.
- Quick learner and willing to be coachable and flexible with work tasks.
- Must be 21+ years old.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an AZDHS Facility Agent Card.
- Attention to detail and ability and willingness to follow instructions.
- Able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
- Reliable attendance and communication - show up to work when you say you will and do what you say you will do.
- Criminal background checks will be performed; most marijuana-related crimes will not negatively impact an application.
- Reliable transportation.
Additional Qualifications (Preferred):
- Experience in the cannabis industry (formal or informal).
- Desire for full-time employment opportunities with the company.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Cannabis-related education.
Schedule: Less than 30 hours per week, weekend and PM availability required
License/Certification: Facility Agent (FA) card (required to start work)
Work Location: In person at our Ponderosa Chandler Location
