As we continue to grow and expand our geographical reach in the global independent third-party assurance and certification market, ERM CVS is looking for an ambitious and experienced partner level professional, to develop our Certification business in the N America region. With the support of the Senior Leadership team and other Regional Certification Leads, the successful candidate will have the unique opportunity to grow this business and region.

The Opportunity:
This is a Partner level opportunity with an equity stake in a global company that is influencing and developing the next evolution for Certification standards, for a Principal/Director/VP-level professional with experience in the management of sustainable-related auditing including accredited management system audits.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead, develop and implement a strategic business plan, to deliver performance results to build and expand ERM CVS’s Certification business and client base across the N American region.
Drive innovation within the business to stay ahead of client needs and to differentiate ERM CVS in the Certification marketplace as a clear thought leader, with a client centric mindset.
Lead, build and inspire a high performing team of qualified and competent Lead Auditors, Project managers and technical directors as the business grows, by modelling ERM CVS collaborative working culture.
With overarching responsibility for the sales strategy, you will drive top-line sales for the ERM CVS business to deliver regional budgets and growth ambitions, with direct client engagement responsibilities to leverage existing and build new relationships to identify, lead and win opportunities.
- As a senior “seller/doer,” personally acquiring new certification-related engagements annually in line with the N American/global strategic growth plans. Identify and develop new opportunities, prepare effective technical proposals, and take an active leadership role in developing new business with new and existing clients. Develop and expand client relationships that generate repeat business.
- Develop a strong working relationship and understanding of our parent company’s (ERM) consulting service areas, regional stakeholders and appropriately identify how/when/if it is appropriate for our team to engage in those projects.
- Ability to segment a marketplace, and then build a meaningful targeted business plan and implement it
- Ability to be a self-starter and to act on own initiative with tactical actions leading towards specific business goals.
- Results-oriented and focussed on delivering objectives.
REQUIREMENTS:
BS/MS in an environmental, Safety
Principal/Director/VP-level, who is able to lead and build a new multi-cultural regional operation, creating and implementing the strategic growth and delivery plan, with a proven track record in developing and implementing successful business growth strategies in ESG/audit related services.
An appreciation of GHG reporting protocol and GHG emission-calculation methodologies), and environmental, health, and safety management through either industrial experience and/or service sector experience, combined with educational qualifications.
Experienced in the regional management system certification standards with the ability to develop and maintain long-term relationships with C-suite level clients and growing sales in new certification-related services.
An appreciation of leading assurance/audit businesses and with experience accredited management system Audits.
Strong commercial acumen to grow a viable business, with an understanding of commercial drivers, sales, operational considerations, and financial management. Ability to travel as needed.
A strong people leader able to attract, develop and retain a high performing team and a track record in scaling up businesses.
