Job Description Summary:
The Graduate School of Education and Human Development (GSEHD) community is dedicated to the mission of leading innovation through learning. Our students emerge from our programs enriched in theory and practice and become agents of change in education and human services. This position leads the development and implementation of strategies to promote the advancement of the GSEHD strategic partnerships and affiliation agreements in domestic and international settings. This position oversees the establishment and management of partnerships with educational, health, and mental health institutions and related activities. This position is responsible for student placements and licensure and also supports the Accreditation team efforts across the school.
The specific responsibilities are:
- Serves as the first point of contact for external contacts to GSEHD.
- Serves as the senior partnerships professional in the Dean’s Office. Advises faculty and senior administration on existing relationships, the development of new partnerships, and management of active partnerships. Facilitates meetings with prospective partner organizations.
- Supports the development and management of all domestic and international partnerships for GSEHD, including: schools, universities, mental health clinics, nonprofits, government agencies, and similar institutions.
- Supports applicants for federal and foundation funders related to research in the development of grant proposals in education or the social/behavioral sciences.
- Supports pre-and post-award activities as directed by the Associate Dean for Research and External Relations.
- Assists with the Placement of Students
- Assists with Faculty Research Authorship or Consultative Arrangements
- Renews expiring awards
- Manages Accreditations information internal to GSEHD AND GWU RE: CAEP, CACREP, OSSE, and middle states as needed
This position is hybrid, with the possibility of 80% telework and as needed in person.
Minimum Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 2 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Master’s degree or higher in a relevant area of study. The degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Exceptional written communication and interpersonal skills.
- High-level project management skills with the ability to work with a team to achieve project goals. Demonstrated expertise in the formulation, implementation and evaluation of programs, initiatives, conferences, events, services and other related activities.
- Strong analytical and Problem solving skills
- Experience with background research in development of grant proposals in education or the social/behavioral sciences is preferred.
