Parts Advisor – Automotive - North Park Subaru of Dominion
Experienced Preferred.
Purchase, sell, store, issue parts while serving internal, wholesale retail clients, including online orders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Determine needs accurately specify parts accordingly
- Create complete purchase orders
- Issue purchase orders to appropriate vendor to order parts
- Record warranty parts returned
- Create special ordered parts on dealership computer system notify ASM, technician or client upon receipt
- Review special order parts tracking
- Process close open invoices (retail, wholesale, online orders)
- Compare invoices against requisitions to verify quality quantity of merchandise received
- Keep records of outside purchases parts received and issued
- Perform ongoing warehouse parts inventory
- Assist in all aspects of parts dept
- Attend monthly department meetings
REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous automotive parts counter experience is a plus.
- Knowledgeable with CDK is a plus.
- Basic skills with computer other office machine (copier, credit card machine, telephone).
- Strong customer service effective communication skills.
- Ability to learn in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to multitask is a plus.
- Valid Texas driver’s license.
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
- Pass drug test (hair follicle) background test
- Self-motivated
- Self-disciplined
- Motivated to go above beyond the minimum standard (including assisting other depts)
- Lift up to 70 pounds
- Able to stoop, kneel, crawl, reach handle parts equipment
- Able to work in an environment that is dusty where various chemical compounds paint is used
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year dealership warehouse experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
