About the Job
Experienced Automotive Parts Associate is needed to join our busy, professional parts department at Sunset Cadillac of Sarasota, a proud member of the Sunset Automotive Group family of new car dealerships.
In this role, you will work in our Cadillac dealership parts department, looking up and researching auto parts, answering questions, and finding and ordering the right automotive parts to get the job done correctly the first time. You will work with Cadillac clients or customers who call or walk-in, our professional Cadillac service technician team, as well as doing some cross-training and back-up for the collision center. Automotive Parts Counter Requirements
We are looking for someone with some related experience in order to allow you to hit the ground running. Our ideal candidate has the following experience and ability:
- Previous experience researching, pricing and ordering parts in a new car dealership setting required, GM Parts Catalog experience preferred
- Must have great reading skills, be detail-oriented, professional, organized, and able to multi-task with great customer service
- Ability to work efficiently in very busy Professional Parts Department, some collision center/body shop parts experience helpful but not required
- Reynolds & Reynolds and Ignite software experience preferred
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time
- All candidates must have a valid driver's license and verifiable work history
Auto Parts Associate Duties
Some specific daily activities include, but are not limited to:
- Look up parts for retail and wholesale parts customers and technicians
- Phone customers regarding special order parts
- Be up to date on GM auto parts product information
- Assist walk-in customers in choosing necessary auto parts for their vehicles, suggest companion requirements and offer specials
- Provide auto parts price quotes and other information over the phone
- Determine availability on out-of-stock parts.
- Retrieve parts purchased from stock, return parts to stock as needed.
- Keep on top of back orders and return to vendors items.
