Job DescriptionAre you a people person with a knack for mechanics or parts? Do you thrive in environments where every day brings something new and where you can constantly grow your knowledge? Truck Centers, Inc. (TCI) is on the lookout for a customer-focused Parts Counter Sales Representative to join our team. In this role, you'll need to bring your strong interpersonal skills to help our customers find the commercial vehicle and equipment parts they need, whether in person or over the phone.
This position will work first shift within our Body Shop Parts Counter.
What You'll Do:
- Sell Parts: Assist customers over the counter or by phone in a lively, fast-paced setting.
- Utilize Resources: Quickly and efficiently look up parts and technical information, check inventory, and locate stock within our TCI network.
- Handle Transactions: Ensure all sales transactions are completed accurately and promptly, adhering to TCI policies, including verifying signatures, credit cards, and customer identity.
- Coordinate Orders: Schedule orders for shipment, delivery, or customer pick-up, ensuring they are processed quickly.
- Process Returns: Issue credits for returned parts, verifying purchase details with original invoices or reference numbers.
- Customer Follow-Up: Regularly check in with customers on order status, provide estimates, and make routine sales calls to maintain strong customer relationships.
- Accurate Data Entry: Enter part numbers accurately to determine costs on repair orders.

QualificationsWhat We're Looking For:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of parts sales experience is highly preferable
- Thorough knowledge of basic computer operations and inventory control systems
- Demonstrated customer service and communication skills
- Strong organization skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple projects seamlessly with excellent attention to detail and a solution-focused outlook
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screen.
- Ability to lift or move up to 80 lbs. unassisted
