Santa Margarita Auto Group is currently seeking a full-time Parts Driver for our expanding dealership group! This is the perfect entry level position for individuals looking to get a foot in the door in the automotive industry and learn how sell yourself, your organization, and your product!

JOB DUTIES:
- Maintain ability and licensing to operate commercial vehicle on public roads.
- Operate vehicle in a safe manner consistent with Dealership policies (please see Handbook regarding hands free use of phones and other communications devices).
- Observe all health and safety procedures, particularly with regard to handling and storing hazardous substances.
- Complete forms accurately.
- Coordinate work with team members and management.
- Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by supervising manager.
- Maintain the standard and quality of service of the organization.
- Observe all Dealership procedures pertinent to preventing and minimizing damage to vehicles.
- Do not disturb customer property in or around vehicle.
- Maintain friendly, courteous relationships that encourage repeat business.
- Accurately and efficiently identify and pull inventory items to satisfy customer orders.
- Identify and suggest viable alternatives for requested inventory items that are out of stock.
- Inspect parts thoroughly to detect damage and recording description of damages/missing items on delivery receipt.
- Identify and support opportunities for methods/process improvement.
- Park vehicles in the assigned area while maximizing the use of space and maintaining the dealership lot.
- Use necessary equipment for cleaning and servicing of vehicles.
- Maintain the proper function of all service tools and equipment.
- With the guidance of your Manager, understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect parts sales and other dealership operations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: While no experience is necessary, an ideal candidate will be dependable, professional, and have a positive, can-do attitude. Other requirements include:
- 18 years of age or older.
- General familiarity with a variety of automobiles.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Pre-employment background check and drug test.
- Must be willing to work as part of a team.
- Must have basic computer and phone skills.
