We are seeking a resourceful and experienced Parts and Inventory Specialist to join our team. As the Parts and Inventory Specialist you would be in charge of parts inventory and shop supplies, parts receiving, taking care of parts warranty claims, and returning any unneeded parts and cores.
Responsibilities:
Parts Receiving Returns, and Warranties:
- When a part is dropped off check it in and properly document the invoice and that the part was received. Once a week all paper invoices will be scanned.
- When possible, bring the part to the proper Technician or Service Advisor.
- Stock any shop supplies in the proper location.
- Return unneeded parts and cores to the proper vendor. Document the return process to track credit we get back.
- Follow each Vendors process for warranty work and document it in our Warranty Tracker.
- Drive to pick up parts or supplies when needed.
- Keep the incoming parts area clean and organized.
- Answer the phone calls from vendors on our Parts Department line.
- Help in locating parts if needed.
Inventory Management:
- Maintain the inventory of stocked parts and shop supplies.
- Keep the parts and inventory room organized and clean.
- Enter and update pricing for any parts kept in the inventory, such as fluids/oil filters, when receiving new orders.
- Contact vendors for disposal of any materials that cannot be recycled or disposed of here.
- Work with vendors and price check parts and supplies if needed.
Other
- Attend training as directed and required
- Attend and participate in networking and company events
- Follow all company policies and procedures as outlined in handbook
Requirements:
- Possess a valid driver’s license issued in Minnesota.
- Capable of achieving and maintaining the Parts ASE certification
- Able to work with minimal supervision.
- Highly organized.
- Possess good verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be mature, flexible, and self-motivated
- Able to operate all company equipment needed to perform required tasks.
- Can carry up to 50 lbs.
- Working knowledge of Windows, Excel, Word, CRM tools, Google programs, and a multi-line phone system.
