Lunds Truck Parts is looking to hire a Parts Sales representative.

Summary:
Sells products for manufacturer or distributor to business and industrial establishments or individuals at sales office, store, showroom, or customer’s place of business by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Utilize list of prospective customers as assigned by company for use as sales leads.
- Service customer needs and establish long-term relationships with them.
- Maintain acceptable gross profit margins.
- Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders or talks with customers on sales floor or by phone.
- Displays or demonstrates product, using samples or catalog, and emphasizes salable features.
- Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained.
- Obtain Parts Manager’s approval for any special pricing.
- Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm’s production and delivery schedules.
- Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts.
- Drives truck to deliver heavy duty truck and trailer parts to customer's home or place of business.
- Collects money from COD customers and records transactions on customer receipt.
- Writes customer order and instructions.
- Records sales or deliveries information on daily sales or delivery record.
- Advise Parts Manager of changes in customers’ names, addresses, etc.
- Inform regular customers of new products or services.
- Listens to and resolves service complaints.
- Places stock on shelves or racks.
- Issues sales promotion materials to customers.
- Collects or picks up empty containers or rejected or unsold merchandise, with a signed company receipt.
- Issues or obtains customer signature in receipt for pick up or delivery.
- Cleans inside of truck. Has routine maintenance on truck performed per company policy.
- Participate in all available training programs.
- Working with all departments in harmony.
- Must have a working knowledge and understanding of the company’s Job Safety Analysis pertaining to this position and positions this individual supervises.
- Must have a working knowledge and understanding of the company’s safety policy.
