JOB DESCRIPTION - DALLAS TRAILER REPAIR CO.
PARTS WAREHOUSE PERSONNEL

Responsibilities:
- Professionally, and with excellent customer service, interact with customers
- Able to follow company and department policies and procedures
- Receiving of inventory and incoming shipments, including identifying damage or shortages
- Pick, pull, process and ship outgoing orders
- Stock inventory according to assigned bin location
- Pull parts for work-in-process and deliver to job location on site
- Safely load and secure large items or large quantities of items for transport in or on truck or trailer
- Perform cycle counts and inventory counts as needed or requested
- Notify management of stock, equipment or building damage
- Ensure a safe, organized, and tidy workspace.
- Follow all health and safety rules and guidelines, as well as common sense safety practices.
- Ability to work independently, as well as support coworkers, able to work as part of team and work well with co-workers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Able to pass drug test/medical physical exam
- Able to pass 10-year background check.
- Valid DL and clear MVR (if applicable)
- Must be forklift certified or able to pass and obtain
- Basic math skills
- Understanding of units of measure
- Able to read and interpret documents such as packing slips and invoices
- Efficient and detail oriented worker
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Physical Demands/Abilities performed throughout the duration of the work shift:
Heavy Work- Exerting up to 100lbs of force occasionally and/or up to 50lbs of force frequently or up to 20lbs of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including other job related items.
Walking/Standing for sustained periods of time.
Climbing – Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and the like, using entire body
Stooping/Crouching – Bending body downward and forward by bending at the waist, legs, and spine.
Balancing – Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling.
Kneeling/Crawling – Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee(s) or moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet.
Whole Hand/Fingers – Picking, pinching, typing with fingers and grasping with the fingers and palm.
Repetitive Motion – Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Talking – Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word to others accurately and quickly when necessary.
Hearing – Receiving detailed information through oral communication at normal speaking levels with or without correction.
Vision – Close visual acuity to perform activities such as reading, using measurement devices, viewing electronic devices, assembling, inspecting small parts and/or operating machines and power tools, operate a motor vehicle and determine the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of work performed.
Work Environment:
Work is performed in a shop; both indoors and outdoors. Activities occur inside and outside and are subject to work environments that are not climate controlled, weather, and hot/cold temperature changes, dirt, dust, soot and possibly mold, loud noise, and ladders to use for high heights. Potential hazards such as moving vehicles, proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, high places, high heat, and exposure to chemicals, atmospheric conditions (e.g. fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases), or poor ventilation, or a workspace may be exposed to smoke residue, mold and mildew, contaminated water, or other unsanitary conditions as well as being in closed quarters/confined spaces (e.g. crawl spaces, small, enclosed rooms, attics, etc.)
