Fairview Range is looking for a Patient Access Coordinator to join our care team at the Fairview Mesaba Clinic in Hibbing, MN.
The Patient Access Coordinator is responsible for performing registration and scheduling duties along with necessary clerical or secretarial duties. The successful candidate will be capable of performing multiple tasks at the same time and will demonstrate excellent customer service skills at all times.
Schedule: This position is full - time working 72-80 hours per two weeks, 8-hour Day/Evening shifts and weekends as needed. This position will be primarily based in Hibbing but may provide coverage in Nashwauk and Mountain Iron as needed.

Patient Access Coordinator Job Responsibilities
+ Greeting patients in a prompt and pleasant manner and directs them to the appropriate locations.
+ Understanding HIPAA and recognizes the importance of PHI.
+ Answering the phone in a courteous, efficient manner within an established timeframe.
+ Collecting and verifies all patient data from patients and enter into the EMR accurately.
+ Answering questions presented by patients regarding their accounts, insurance questions, etc.
+ Processing disability, accident, etc. forms.
Required Qualifications
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Verifiable work experience with computers, typing, and telephone duties.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist (CRCS)
+ Knowledge of medical terminology.
+ Experience in Registration and Scheduling.
+ Experience with insurance verification.
+ Understanding of various health insurance plans.
