Summary:
Performs access functions for all patients presenting for services.
Responsibilities:
Ensures that all necessary demographic, billing and clinical information is obtained and entered with timeliness and accuracy.Verifies insurance benefits and obtains pre-certification/authorization as necessaryCommunicates with physicians' and their staff, nursing unit staff, and/or other appropriate personnel to exchange necessary information.Determines and accepts required payments, including but not limited to co-pays and deductibles.

Required to type 35 wpm. Required Work Experience: No prior work experience required. Other Information: Proficient in basic computer skills and customer service experience preferred.
