About the Job
Position Summary: Responsible for coordinating patient benefits including generating referrals, conducting pre-certifications, checking patient eligibility of multiple practices.
Position Requirements:
+ High school diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred
+ Minimum of two years experience generating referrals. Experience in similar specialty setting preferred
+ Previous experience pre-certifying insurance benefits
+ Previous experience checking patient insurance eligibility
+ Minimum of two years previous coding experience
+ Thorough knowledge managed care plan requirements and limitations
+ Previous experience with practice management/medical billing computer programs required
+ Computer registration and EPIC and EMRexperience preferred
+ Previous Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Word and Excel) experience referred
+ Excellent oral/written communication skills
+ Excellent organizational skills
+ Detailed oriented
+ Ability to set priorities, document conversations and specific actions taken and apply appropriate policies and procedures
+ Flexible, able to adapt to change
+ Bilingual preferred
