The Patient Billing Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Billing Department by effectively managing and participating in all areas that affect the billing function. Functions as the primary trainer for new and existing staff and is a subject matter expert (SME) on various revenue cycle workflows, processes and systems. Works closely with the Executive Director and others to promptly address, AR system, claims set up/clearinghouse and payer issues. Facilitates work groups for special projects focusing on reducing denials and providing status reports to the Executive Director. Responsible for follow-up on pending insurance payments, claims and clearinghouse issues/edits, and for providing administrative support and assistance to the AR/billing.
In addition to managing the daily functions of the billing department, the Manager will also plan and manage team training and education, be responsible for process improvement measures and implementation, work cross-functionally with leaders throughout the organization, and be responsible for recordkeeping and compliance.

- Five (5) years of billing leadership experience is required
- Three (3) years of experience in a large healthcare organization is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, or business administration preferred.
- Certified Patient Account Manager (CPAM) desired
