About the Job
Qualifications:
One of the following required addition to the high school diploma or GED
• Completion of a formal nursing assistant educational program or certification (e.g. Diploma/Course/Certificate/Associates Degree/etc. completed in a Certified Nurse Assistant, Medical Assistant, or similar clinical education program)
• Currently enrolled in a BSN degree program with one clinical rotation completed at the time of hire
• One (1) year of direct patient care experience
Requirements:
• Assists with the collection and documentation of patient/family data
• Provides high quality, cost effective patient care in collaboration with the RN and in conjunction with the patient/family
• Assists in identifying patient/family response to care provided responsibilities
• Maintains accountability for development of self and participates in development of others
• Demonstrates commitment to team, flexibility, professional interpersonal communication, and customer service skills
• Participates in achieving hospital/unit goals.Texas Children's first health care location in Austin, Texas Children's Urgent Care West Gate, opened in March 2018, providing high quality pediatric-focused care after hours and on weekends. There are now more than 10 Texas Children's Pediatric primary care practices in the greater Austin area bringing world-class pediatric services to children and their families. Our Specialty Care Center in Austin includes a multidisciplinary group of pediatric specialists committed to providing comprehensive care across a wide spectrum of services, including allergy and immunology, cardiology, ophthalmology, rheumatology, pulmonology, neurology, and more. Texas Children's also plans to build a 360,000-square-foot freestanding hospital for children and women, set to open in 2024.
