About Us
Frazier Rehab Institute services include nationally recognized brain injury, spinal cord, and stroke recovery rehab programs accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Rehab Facilities (CARF), with research being conducted with the University of Louisville. Frazier Rehab Institute continues to be a national leader for rehabilitation services, such as the EMERGE program, which is designed to help patients with severe traumatic brain injuries and who are at low levels of consciousness, and locomotor training for post spinal cord injury patients, which allows for weight support, standing, and walking.

Responsibilities
This role is eligible for a float pool pay differential.
Job Responsibilities
- Anticipate & accommodate patient needs by responding to their verbal & nonverbal cues.
- Prepare patients for the 3 daily required therapy sessions (SLP, physical, & OT).
- Provide patients with opportunities for independence and making choices consistent with their plan of care.
- Assist with admission, transportation, and discharge of patients.
- Aid patients in transferring, repositioning, alignment, and ambulation.
- Assist patients with dressing/undressing, maintaining personal hygeine including grooming & oral care, and toileting needs.
- Recognize changes in patient status and reports appropriate information to registered nurse.
- Keep patient living areas pleasant and orderly, as well as safeguards patient personal belongings.
- Ensure patient rights, privacy, & confidentiality are protected and that all patients and families are made aware of these rights.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED/ equivalent (required)
- Individuals between the ages of 16 and 18 may be employed on a temporary basis in positions not prohibited and for hours not to exceed those prescribed by the Department of Labor and the Commonwealth of Kentucky and who are on the path to earning a high school diploma or GED (see Employment of Minors policy)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- One year of previous patient care experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in healthcare setting
- State Registered Nurse Aide (SRNA) by the Kentucky Board of Nursing (preferred)
