Patient Care Associate (Medical Assistant) - Tandym

A medical services network in Queens, NY is currently seeking Patient Care Associates to join their Clinical Services team in all boroughs.

Responsibilities:

• Review the patient's health history for completeness and record findings
• Document competently in the electronic medical record using the correct templates and forms
• Assist in promoting optimum center operations, excellent patient service, and compliance with both agency and funding source policies and regulations
• Assess flow of patients through health center to minimize patient wait times
• Assist in the orientation and training of new clinic staff, as indicated
• Provide health education and care related to sexual and reproductive health-care
• Perform laboratory tests as ordered, complete laboratory requisitions, and package labs for transport
• Attend monthly didactics and incorporate information into daily care provision
• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• 1+ year of experience as a Medical Assistant
• High School Diploma / GED
• Medical Assistant certification from an accredited school or program
• Certification in Phlebotomy
• Experience with Electronic Health Records
• Superior customer service and teamwork skills
