About the Job
A medical services network in New York City is currently seeking Patient Care Associates to join their Clinical Services team in all boroughs.
Responsibilities:
- Review the patient's health history for completeness and record findings
- Document competently in the electronic medical record using the correct templates and forms
- Assist in promoting optimum center operations, excellent patient service, and compliance with both agency and funding source policies and regulations
- Assess flow of patients through health center to minimize patient wait times
- Assist in the orientation and training of new clinic staff, as indicated
- Provide health education and care related to sexual and reproductive healthcare
- Perform laboratory tests as ordered, complete laboratory requisitions, and package labs for transport
- Attend monthly didactics and incorporate information into daily care provision
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience as a Medical Assistant
- High School Diploma / GED
- Medical Assistant certification from an accredited school or program
- Certification in Phlebotomy
- Experience with Electronic Health Records
- Superior customer service and teamwork skills
