Job Summary:
Our Patient Care Coordinator opening is an In-Person Full-Time position. We seek a person who is extremely organized, self-motivated, punctual, and eager to learn. They should hold above average computer skills and familiarity with facilitating correspondence between patients, their family, the medical and administrative staff, and healthcare providers. Please Note: Scrubs are the required dress code for this position. This position also requires administrative duties that have also been listed below.
Work schedule:
- Monday – Friday
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Greeting patients when they arrive
- Answering phones and addressing concerns and answering questions
- Scheduling patients for appropriate appointments
- Gather appropriate information from patient in order to schedule appointments
- Make copies of all necessary insurance cards and IDs, medication lists, referrals
- Provide all new patient paperwork to patient and explain as necessary.
- Explain all HIPAA related paperwork and assist the patient in completing the forms correctly and accurately.
- Field and triage patient questions.
- Confirmation phone calls for appointments.
- Follow-up phone calls for cancellations, reschedules, no shows and general call backs
- Check out patients, collect payments and schedule correct follow-up appointments as needed.
- Update/ Scan Patient chart notes and document patient encounters: (phone, face to face, email, etc) Follow SOAP Note format.
- Process and follow up on Referrals
- Insurance verification
- Minor Office cleaning, upkeep, and restock
- Assist the audiology assistant with walk ins by having the patient complete the appropriate forms
Qualifications & Skills:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Organized
- Excellent customer service skills
- Efficient and accurate
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Able to multi-task
- Maintain positive attitude
- Self-motivated
- Team player
- Reliable and punctual
Educational Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience as a medical receptionist is a plus.
