As a Patient Care Nurse Assistant (PCNA), you'll be essential in offering compassionate care and support to patients. University Hospitals Lake West Medical Center is looking for dedicated and passionate team members to fill night shift (6:30 pm - 7:30 am) PCNA positions. Available units include: ICU, Step Down, Med/Surg, and Surgical.

What You'll Do:
- The Patient Care Nursing Associate PCNA completes patient care activities as delegated by the RN.
- PCAs perform duties including, but not limited to, ADLs, vital signs, I and Os, 12 lead ECG, bladder scan, hygiene and venipuncture where applicable.
- Familiarity with using wheelchairs, EKG equipment, patient assistive devices, and patient care equipment specific to assigned population.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills both written and verbal, as well as, exhibiting strong organizational skills and work ethic, demonstrates a professional demeanor when responding to patients and customers, basic computer data entry skills.
Qualifications
- High School Equivalent / GED required
- BLS certification, issued by the American Heart Association, must be obtained prior to starting.
- Experience in a large teaching hospital preferred.
- One year job stability preferred.
