Patient Care Specialist - PACU (Full Time) - 6218 - Cabell Huntington Hospital/St. Mary

Assists in providing patient care activities for which employee has been prepared and in conformance with Medical Center policy and procedures, functions under the supervision and guidance of a Registered Nurse.Education Requirements: High School Diploma/GED required. In addition, must meet one of the following criteria: * Successful completion of a multi-skilled technician program which includes EKG, phlebotomy, and direct patient care. Certification must be valid and current. * EKG and Phlebotomy training with patient experience in physician office/clinical setting. Experience: EKG and Phlebotomy training with patient experience in clinical setting preferred. Certifications/Skills: Verbal ability required to communicate with patients and understand instructions received from nursing staff; manual dexterity required to use hands easily and skillfully while aiding patients.
