ABOUT THE ROLE
Schedule: In this position, you'll work within our business hours of Monday to Thursday from 8 AM to 7 PM and Friday from 8 AM to 3 PM. This schedule offers a balanced workweek while providing you with the experience needed to advance in your healthcare career.
Role Overview: Each day at Advanced Care Specialists brings new challenges and rewarding experiences. As a Patient Care Technician - Medical Assistant, you'll start your day by preparing examination rooms and medical equipment, ensuring everything is clean and sterilized. As patients arrive, you'll assist in their examination and treatment by taking vital signs, documenting medical histories, and prepping them for procedures.
Your role also involves performing clinical tasks such as administering medications, changing dressings, and collecting lab specimens-all while maintaining accurate electronic health records. Communication is key, as you'll provide support and education to patients, families, and healthcare providers, helping to create a positive and efficient care environment.
The Minimum Requirements to Be Considered:
- Possesses an MA, CNA, LPN, or EMT certification
- Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in any healthcare field
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology
- Proficiency with computer and electronic health record systems
