Description
As a Financial Assistance Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring patients have access to their prescribed medications by finding tailored solutions to minimize their out-of-pocket expenses. This role requires a strong understanding of major medical and pharmacy billing, particularly in the context of the Medicare Part D program. Your mission will be to assist patients in obtaining their medications in a timely and cost-effective manner while adhering to compliance guidelines.
Patient-Centric Approach:
> Be obsessed with the customer and provide personalized support to address each patient's unique financial challenges.
Detailed Analysis:
> Identify and analyze patient information to determine the best financial assistance solutions.
Billing Expertise:
> Possess a deep knowledge of major medical and pharmacy billing, especially Medicare Part D program design.
Copay Programs and Foundations:
> Familiarity with copay assistance programs and foundation support for patients.
Critical Thinking:
> Find creative solutions to help patients access their prescribed medications.
Efficiency:
> Efficiently manage your time and prioritize cases for maximum impact.
Team Collaboration:
> Work both independently and collaboratively with intra and inter-departmental teams to ensure seamless patient care.
Specialty Experience:
> Prior experience in a Specialty, Specialty Home Infusion pharmacy, or similar setting is essential.
Therapeutic Knowledge:
> Prior experience with IG, Oncology therapies, and billing is highly preferred.
Adaptability:
> Embrace new ways of thinking and process improvements to enhance patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Strong knowledge of major medical and pharmacy billing.
- Previous experience as a Patient Access Coordinator or Financial Assistance Coordinator highly preferred.
- Proficient knowledge with copay assistance programs and foundation support.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize effectively.
- A proactive problem solver with a customer-centric mindset.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
