Patient Financial Services Representative – CMN Coordinator
- Reviews prescriptions and progress notes for accuracy and compliance with durable medical equipment coverage guidelines.
- Obtains prescriptions, certificates of medical necessity (CMN) and progress notes from physician’s offices and facilities.
- Reviews reports of held revenue and prioritizes work to ensure timely billing of claims and reduction of bad debt.
- Review patient records and submit renewal requests for certificates of medical necessity forms to physicians as needed.
- Routine follow up required for all documentation requests sent.
- Review all CMN forms for accuracy and completeness prior to submission.
- Must make clear and accurate notes documenting all efforts to obtain CMN forms.
- Review and log existing documentation to release revenue.
- Maintain open communication with patients regarding status of needed documentation
- Work collaboratively with other departments to create a smooth patient experience
Minimum Education Required
- High School Diploma of Equivalent
