Position Summary
Clinically focused leadership position responsible for directing all capacity management and patient flow activities by triaging patients and making bed assignments including direct admissions, emergency department, post anesthesia care, internal transfers, and discharges. Functions as the in-house decision maker for decisions related to patient throughput therefore strong leadership, conflict resolution, and critical thinking skills are essential. Responsible for ensuring bed availability algins with anticipated demand, and patients are placed in the appropriate level of care from the point of admission, based on diagnosis, acuity, physician orders, and patient throughput needs.

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities. - Three years of active nursing practice experience: Required
- Recent patient throughput/flow, house supervision, and/or nursing management experience
- Proven leadership, facilitative, and anticipatory/critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication, mediation, and conflict resolution skills
- Strong acumen for systems thinking and problem solving
Education/Licensure/Certification:
- Bachelors of Nursing: Required
- Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license: Required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers: Required
