Patient Registrar - Full-time - Night Shift - Yoakum Community Hospital

As a Night Shift Patient Registrar, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless patient experience during the late hours. You will be the friendly face that greets and assists patients and visitors, making them feel welcome and cared for, even during the nighttime hours.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Performing established procedures for opening and closing the office, setting the stage for a smooth workflow during the night.
• Registering patients in our Athena system with efficiency and accuracy, ensuring that all details are captured correctly.
• Answering telephone calls and providing necessary information while directing callers to the appropriate personnel.
• Confirming patient appointments and managing schedules to ensure everything runs smoothly during the night.
• Documenting any cancellations or no-shows in the Athena system for proper record keeping.
• Performing daily collections and bank deposits meticulously according to clinic policies.
• Handling insurance eligibility and demographic information to facilitate a seamless patient experience.
• Ensuring all tasks performed comply with state and federal guidelines—your attention to detail is essential!

Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma preferred or (GED) general education degree;
• At least three (3) years of medical office experience is highly desired.
• Must be detail-oriented, with excellent communication skills.
• Comfortable utilizing computer systems and typing at a minimum speed of 50 w.p.m.
• Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
• Spanish-speaking candidates are encouraged to apply!
