Patient Registrar - Multispecialty - Day

Register patients for a variety of procedures and appointments, and feel the pride of going above and beyond to help others. In this role, you'll obtain demographic details, insurance information, and ensure proper scheduling. You'll record patient history while obtaining pre-certification and authorization for patients obtaining services. You will be the calm and reassuring presence patients need as they navigate their hospital experience.

This is a full time day; Monday- Friday -Varied hours (Must be Flexible; daily schedule will be determined based on practice needs) 8:00am to 6:00pm position at NYP Medical Group Brooklyn Sunset Park Multispecialty located at 769 54th Street, Brooklyn, NY.

Preferred Criteria

• Some college

• Knowledge of health insurance benefits/requirements

• Knowledge of Coding: ICD 9, CPT-4

• Bilingual- English/Cantonese/Mandarin

Required Criteria

• High School Diploma or GED

• One year of clerical experience
