A day in the role…

• Assist patients with scheduling their medical appointments.
• They use an appointment scheduling software called Dash which overlays their EMR (NexGen) to help with scheduling. T
• Team Leads handle most of the rescheduling.
• Handling inbound calls 95% of the time - answering inquiries or transferring due to the mainline having limited prompts & about 30% of the calls are scheduling.
• Handling outbound calls 5% of the time for follow up with patients.

Core Experience:

• Medical Call Center
• Scheduling Experience (6+ months)
• Medial Receptionist Experience
• Healthcare or medical experience ideal to help understand terminology used
• Medical Billing or Coding Certification will allow them to move into the Revenue Cycle Department long-term
• LPN, CNA, RN will allow them to move into clinical opportunities
• EMR - electronic medical records
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Strong customer service experience - high volume calls
• Insurance Payer Knowledge
