Patient Service Coordinator - TEKsystems

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and customer/patient-focused individual to join our Patient Services team!

Responsibilities:

• Answer incoming calls in a timely and professional manner. The successful candidate will take an average of 50-70 calls per day in a typical 8-hour day. 
• Schedule appointments and update patient records.
• Assist with patient inquiries and direct calls to appropriate personnel.
• Handle insurance verification.
• Work within the EMR system.
• Obtain patient demographics.
• Identify patients’ needs, clarify information, research every issue, and provide solutions and/or alternatives.
• Document all call information according to standard operating procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience as a Medical Receptionist or working in Healthcare Administration.
• Prior EMR/EHR experience preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, insurance procedures, and electronic health records.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in patient data entry and scheduling.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Details:

• Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:30am - 5:00pm (40 hours per week)
• Pay cycle - weekly | medical, dental & vision benefits offered.
• Onsite position located in Shelton, CT. From time to time, coverage may be needed in Fairfield and Monroe.
