Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and customer/patient-focused individual to join our Patient Services team!
Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls in a timely and professional manner. The successful candidate will take an average of 50-70 calls per day in a typical 8-hour day.
- Schedule appointments and update patient records.
- Assist with patient inquiries and direct calls to appropriate personnel.
- Handle insurance verification.
- Work within the EMR system.
- Obtain patient demographics.
- Identify patients’ needs, clarify information, research every issue, and provide solutions and/or alternatives.
- Document all call information according to standard operating procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience as a Medical Receptionist or working in Healthcare Administration.
- Prior EMR/EHR experience preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, insurance procedures, and electronic health records.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in patient data entry and scheduling.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Details:
- Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:30am - 5:00pm (40 hours per week)
- Pay cycle - weekly | medical, dental & vision benefits offered.
- Onsite position located in Shelton, CT. From time to time, coverage may be needed in Fairfield and Monroe.
