Compensation depends upon candidate’s years of experience and internal equity.
This is an entry-level position.
Starting salary: $18 per hour based off experience

Responsibilities:Seeking full time Patient Service Specialist (PSS) to join growing team at large multi-disciplinary clinic. Ideal candidate is proactive, a serving team member, and collaborates to solve problems and can provide outstanding customer service and attention to details in a fast paced environment. A team player who is flexible, organized, and adaptable. We process referrals, schedule patients, complete intake process & data entry, insurance verification, authorizations and review of benefits with patients, copay collection, arriving and re-scheduling patients, billing reports, closing report and other tasks as needed. Clinic hours are 7-7 M-TH and 7-5 on Fridays. Candidate is expected to do one opening and one closing shift at a minimum. Shifts vary with start times of 7:00, 8:30, and 10:30 as needed.
- Greets patients
- Answers phones
- Patient intake and data entry
- Insurance verification and pre-authorization
- Schedules patient appointments
- Operates front office of outpatient centers
- Supports therapists and therapy assistants
- Daily cash balancing and weekly banking deposits
- HS diploma or GED is required
Preferred Experience
- Customer service experience
- Knowledge of insurance verification
- Healthcare, medical, or dental office administration
