Summary
Sparks Group has partnered with a behavioral health care and social services organization located in Washington, DC. Together we are seeking a Patient Services Coordinator to manage appointments, client records, and ensure a smooth flow for new and existing clients. You'll greet clients, handle authorizations and scheduling, and support care coordination.
Responsibilities
- Schedule appointments, manage client flow, and ensure a smooth transition from intake to service delivery.
- Verify client documentation (residency, income, insurance) and obtain authorizations before service delivery.
- Provide instructions to clients and maintain logs for staff and clients.
- Document information in the agency's system and generate reports.
- Coordinate care directly with clients.
- Follow up on documentation and client-related tasks.
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and provide excellent customer service.
Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in healthcare preferred, or 1-3 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
- Experience working in a substance abuse or behavioral health setting is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent written/verbal communication.
- Proactive problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Compassion for and desire to work with clients.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to handle confidential information, meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and effectively communicate with diverse clients and staff.

This job is In-Person.
Pay Range: Hourly $19.00 to $22.00
