Innova Solutions has a client that is immediately hiring for a Patient service Representative.

Position type: Full-time, Contract
Duration: 3 Month
Location: Dallas TX

As a Patient service Representative you will:
Provides a range of entry-level intake and associated administrative services pertaining to patients being admitted to the hospital and/or treatment facility or receiving outpatient services to include obtaining demographic, insurance, and medical information; collecting co-pays and deposits; scheduling follow-up appointments; and ordering diagnostic tests as directed.

WHAT IS EXPECTED (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

• Interviews patients to obtain demographic and insurance information necessary for medical record identification and bill processing.
• Inputs patient registration information into computer registration system and verifies accuracy of information.
• Provides accurate patient, medical, financial, or procedural information to patients Discusses financial arrangements and issues with patients and/or family members.
• Facilitates patient and information flow by directing patients to correct locations, arranging patient transport, answering incoming telephone calls, and providing clerical support.
• Prepares required forms orders and maintains inventory of supplies as required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Knowledge of patient registration procedures and documentation.
• Knowledge of medical insurance claims procedures and documentation.
• Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications.
• Skill in preparing and maintaining patient records.
• Interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to obtain patient demographic information and verify insurance eligibility.
• Must enroll in PSS training program and successfully complete competency exam to maintain PSS position
• Being able to have an empathic conversation with patients, multitask, insurance exp, customer service exp, bilingual in Spanish a plus Additional Notes candidate must have 2 years of medical field exp to be considered

The ideal candidate will have: Medical experience, epic experience, Insurance knowledge.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $17-20per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
