POLICE CIVIL SERVICE EXAMINATION NOTICE

Public Notice is hereby given that Fox Chapel Borough will accept applications for the position of a full-time Patrol Officer through Monday, November 18, 2024.

Written or online forms required to be completed to apply for the position of Patrol Officer are available at fox-chapel.pa.us or the Fox Chapel Borough Building, 401 Fox Chapel Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15238. The Borough Building is open from 8 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Call 412/850-5024 if there are any questions.

COMPLETED APPLICATIONS MUST BE TURNED INTO THE BOROUGH BUILDING DURING NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS BY 4:30 PM ON MONDAY, NOVEMBER 18, 2024. ANY APPLICATION CONTAINING MATERIAL ERRORS OR OMISSIONS SHALL BE REJECTED BY THE COMMISSION. IT IS THE APPLICANT'S RESPONSIBILITY TO CONFIRM THE APPLICATION IS COMPLETE AND TIMELY SUBMITTED. THE COMMISSION SHALL REJECT ANY INCOMPLETE OR UNTIMELY APPLICATION.

The physical agility test will be held at the Allegheny County Police Academy, 700 W. Ridge Road, Allison Park, PA 15101, on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at 8:30 AM (All candidates must bring a valid photo ID). Immediately after successfully passing the physical agility test, candidates will be offered the written exam at the same location.

Other mandatory test components are an oral examination, background check, medical examination, and psychological examination for all top-ranked candidates. Any offer of employment will be conditioned upon the appointee satisfactorily completing the psychological and physical examination.

A copy of the Fox Chapel Borough's hiring policy as outlined in its Civil Service Rules and Regulations is available for inspection during normal business hours at the Fox Chapel Borough Building.
