Digital Transactions Manager
The primary purpose of this position is to assist First Commerce in fulfilling our Vision of Empowering Generations, Transforming Communities This is achieved through delivering Remarkable Member Service as defined by our Service Standards as well as building and maintaining strong member relationships through identification of member's financial needs and effectively recommending appropriate products and services to meet those needs.
The Digital Transactions Manager is responsible for leading, mentoring, and developing the digital transaction team in providing excellent member service and system expertise in the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of enterprise systems. This position will create and implement strong practices for maintaining high availability while also delivering the features, functions, and systems necessary to meet strategic objectives. In addition, it will develop new programs and ensure efficient, timely and accurate processing of all work within related regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor and evolve the Digital Transactions dashboard encompassing related products and activities with monthly reporting and narrative to Executive/Senior Management.
- Member of the Payments Council and work with stakeholders to identify payment opportunities to strategically drive credit union initiatives to completion.
- Develop and implement a digital transaction business plan for meeting member transaction needs across multiple channels.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with leadership to coordinate continuous improvement of digital transaction products.
- Strategic oversight and management of digital transaction products (e.g. ACH, drafts, mobile deposit, ITMs, wires, cards) and vendors that support them.
- Develop and implement a plan that positions the credit union in leveraging the opportunities and addressing the threats that exist in the digital transaction area.
- Ensure the credit union delivers digital transactions to its members that are industry standard.
- Ensure the credit union remains relevant in the digital transaction space and establish partnerships with vendors to create and enhance transaction capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with various federal and state regulations that relate to the functions administered within this position.
- Manage the daily activities of digital transactions, providing technical guidance to team members, establishing priorities, and providing oversight for complex problems.
- Assess departmental needs; develop and recommend system enhancements to Management.
- Responsible for management of ITMs which include installation, maintenance, monitoring, and replenishment.
- Recommend, coordinate, and implement system and procedural changes relating to digital transactions.
- Manage internal and external Courier.
- Review contracts and negotiates with vendors for better pricing with appropriate approvals.
- Ensure appropriate audit trails are developed and maintained.
Leadership Duties:
- Ensures that the DDTS team delivers prompt, accurate, and courteous external and internal service in accordance with our Service Standards.
- Oversees the quality and speed of department team. Offers and manages clear expectations of service levels.
- Prepares and/or analyzes relevant special reports for distribution to management, while maintaining departmental records and files.
- Works within an approved budget; Develops and implements cost saving measures and conserves organizational resources.
- Responsible for hiring, training, scheduling, development, coaching, counseling, evaluating, and overall leadership management of credit union staff.
- Sets and achieves challenging goals; Demonstrates persistence and overcomes obstacles; Measures self against standard of excellence; Takes calculated risks to accomplish goals.
Other Responsibilities:
- Performs job duties in accordance with policies established by the Board of Directors under the rules and regulations set by the National Credit Union Administration, the State of Florida and any applicable State laws for financial centers located in other States.
- Complies with Reg E, BSA, OFAC and CIP requirements such as reporting suspicious or unusual activity to manager.
- Fully supports in actions and words First Commerce's Vision, Mission, Core Values and Service Standards.
- Attends meetings timely and as required; reports to work as scheduled and adheres to First Commerce's dress code.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in a related field (finance, business management, logistics, process management, or accounting) or a combination of education and work experience.
- 5+ years work experience related in banking/credit union processing, operations, or consumer service.
- 3+ years work experience managing, operating, and troubleshooting systems that perform critical financial transactions.
- Experience with CRM, Symitar, ITMs, and digital transaction software and processes (e.g. Image Center, Synergy, Fiserv).
- Ability to work in highly collaborative and dynamic work environment.
- Demonstrated ability to think globally and drive results and efficiencies.
- Advanced computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Communication skillset that involves motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on complex subjects.
- Developing professional and technological expertise with direct reports.
- Strong skills in organizational, planning, interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and research.
- Flexibility to manage competing priorities and shift focus as determined by changing needs of the business.
