Payroll Administrator is crucial in ensuring all payroll activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as internal policies. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process bi-weekly and weekly payrolls, ensuring accurate calculations of earnings, deductions, and taxes.
- Identify and implement opportunities to streamline payroll processes to improve operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement best practices for compliance with payroll regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time.
- Review and verify payroll data, promptly addressing any discrepancies.
- Ensure all payroll activities are completed in line with company policies and legal requirements.
- Collect and audit payroll data, including hours worked, exception time, and bonuses, and enter information into the payroll system.
- Handle payroll-related activities, including garnishments, employment verifications, and benefits updates.
- Audit payroll submissions to ensure proper authorization and documentation.
- Prepare and file payroll-related reports, such as tax filings and wage garnishments.
- Process changes related to wages, benefits, taxes, and garnishments in the master payroll system.
- Troubleshoot payroll system issues, working with vendors and IT for resolution.
- Serve as the primary contact for employee payroll inquiries, providing timely and accurateassistance.
- Educate employees on payroll policies and procedures, including timekeeping and tax withholding.
- Act as a liaison with third-party payroll providers, managing changes, researching issues, testing system enhancements, and staying updated on legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting payroll and HR compliance
Salary Range:USD $31.00 - USD $38.00 /Hr.Compensation Disclosure:
The salary range mentioned above reflects the potential pay for this role and does not include bonuses or additional incentives (if applicable), nor does it include the value of our benefit program. Offers will consider factors like experience, qualifications, location, community size (if relevant), certifications/training, etc. Brightview regularly reviews and adjusts compensation ranges.
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of payroll processing experience; multi-state and multi-company payroll experienced preferred.Proficiency in payroll software and systems. UKG experience preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work with strict deadlines in a high volume environment.
- Extensive knowledge of payroll and human resources laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
