Great Opportunity for an experienced Payroll Administrator!!!! This is a Hybrid position, Mon, Thur and Friday are Remote - Tuesday and Wednesday are in the Great Neck, NY office.

- Processing weekly and semi-monthly payrolls.
- Reporting and funding HSA and 401(k) contributions to service providers.
- Collecting and verifying timekeeping information for accuracy.
- Maintaining up-to-date payroll information in external and internal systems.
- Recording outsourced payroll transactions in the accounting system.
- Handling certified payroll reporting and insurance payroll reporting and audits.
- Assisting project accounting staff with monthly payroll backup for billing purposes.
- Ensuring employee confidentiality and safeguarding payroll operations.
- Addressing payroll-related issues and questions from employees and management.
- Gathering information for six-month, year-end, workers' compensation, and 401(k) audits.
- Performing additional tasks as requested by accounting supervisors.
- Serving as the primary contact for employee payroll inquiries via phone, email, and in person.
- Calculating pay, including adjustments for leaves and overtime, and processing taxes and deductions.
- Handling data entry, scanning, and maintaining an organized payroll office.
- Processing periodic payments such as garnishments and child support, either through A/P requests or online portals.
- Issuing pay statements, mailing paper checks, and preparing W-2 forms.
- Maintaining complete employee personnel and I-9 files.
- Investigating and resolving payroll discrepancies, escalating issues as needed.
- Preparing and submitting payroll reports as required.
Requirements:
- Associate degree or Professional Payroll Certification
- 2-4 years experience in payroll
- Knowledge of Workday software
- Strong MS Office skills, including strong proficiency in Excel
- Commitment to payroll best practices and regulations
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks
- Communication and analytical skills
- Additional bookkeeping skills are a plus
Salary
75,000 - 85,000 /year
Plus 5% Bonus
